Introducing our spectacular Namibian Dune & Lagoon Tour!

namibian-dune-and-lagoon-tour-website

Dear customers and industry partners, having been born and raised in Walvis Bay it is always gratifying to return to the country of my birth, not only to experience the raw beauty of the spectacular landscapes but also for the opportunity to catch up with old friends, partake of the excellent local cuisine and enjoy the genuine hospitality that Namibians and particularly the people of Swakopmund and Walvis Bay are famous for.

African Hoopoe Tours have been conducting tours in Namibia for several years, our 21 Day National Tour, which follows a circular route, starting from Windhoek and taking in all the best sights and experiences Namibia has to offer including Etosha, Swakopmund, Sossusvlei, Fish River Canyon etc has proven extremely popular with our customers. We also offer an 11 Day Southern and 10 Day Northern Namibia Tour.

For a long time however we have been keen to put together an affordable 4-5 day tour, that showcases the areas and activities around Swakopmund and Walvis Bay and I am glad to announce that after my recent visit to Swakopmund our dream has become a reality. African Hoopoe Tours now offer a 4 Day Dune & Lagoon Tour in and around Swakopmund with an option to extend to a 5th Day available

(visit to the spectacular Sossusvlei)

About the Author
In 1996, Marius du Plessis made a career change and started working at a medium sized tour company in, Cape Town. He qualified as a tour guide and was soon on his way to becoming a top guide. A year later he joined a big tour operator specializing in day tours and charters. It had always been Marius’ dream to run his own business and in 2007 he purchased his first touring vehicle, a Mercedes Vito, while still guiding full time. Renting his vehicle to the movie industry he realised the potential, so in 2010 he went on his own, and African Hoopoe Tours and Charters was born. With the 2010 FIFA World Cup being hosted in Cape Town, timing could not have been better. From these humble beginnings African Hoopoe Tours have grown from strength to strength.
